  • ECT in society
     This section will set ECT in a number of contexts reflecting the pervasive use of electronics in society. Case studies have been set within the following contexts: industry, the environment, entertainment/leisure, home, transport, communications and health.
    Two examples of the type of case studies available are:
  • Using ECT
    This section features activities which are primarily intended for teachers to learn about a specific technology, and may also be used by to direct pupils’ learning about that technology.
    An example of one of these activities is:
  • Designing, Developing and Manufacturing ECT Systems
    This section works through the concepts and content from systems design to manufacture providing information about how to use appropriate software and hardware, make decisions about systems design, learn what transducers are and how to monitor and control the environment. View the introduction to this section, which details the different areas covered.
  • ECT Activities
    This section of the website covers a large number of pupil activities. These activities are based on ‘tried and tested’ examples that the web authors have used in their own work. They will have been written so that they may be implemented within the classroom with the minimum of change.
